What should I do if my timing belt jumps forward on a Volvo 940?

Well if your timing belt moves you probably either have a probably either the belt or the cam pulleys themselves. I would pull the timing cover and inspect.

first thing that you should do if your timing belt jumps forward you have to remove it and check on the camshaft wheels if they don't have to be replaced.
