Unfortunately, you've probably got a vacuum leak. If the smoke is white you've got a coolant leak, and if the smoke is blue it's too rich.

First you should check your idle and adjust it if neccessary. As for the smoking, it could be burnt rings, to much oil, or oil leaking onto hot engine parts.

The first thing I would do is to make sure your choke is stuck on. This would explain the smoke and higher rpm. Aside from this I would check your timing and make sure the engine is tuned correctly.
