This medication will help with the lupus since it is a auto-immune disease. There is not much that can be done for this type of disease since it is progressive.

We can have argon laser light treatment. Also we can use low doses of thalidomide,if usual treatment of of steroids is not effective. Another possible alternate treatment is pimecrolimus cream(Elidel). Anti malaria drugs can be used. Quinarine is one of the drug is used to treat discoid lupus in dogs. methotrexate can also be used to treat discoid lupus.
