A basal temp must be taken first thing in the morning prior to any activity even getting out of bed at the same time every day following a minimum 3 hour sleep. If after ovulation implantation occurs, a woman can expect her basal temperature to be between 98.1 and 98.5.

It should be a half to one degree higher than when you are not pregnant, but you need to have charted it before to be able to compare.

Each woman's basal body temp, when pregnant or not, is a highly individual thing. It should be, at the very least, .3 degrees Fahrenheit above your pre-ovulation basal body temp.

During pregnancy your basal temperature should be .4 to .6 degrees higher than your normal temperature when you have your period. Your normal temperature during your period should be around 97.0 to 97.5 degrees.

Usually your basal temperature when you are pregnant is around 96. 8 that is a normal average for you. Most of the time during your pregnancy your temp will change just like your blood pressure. It depends on what activities that you are actively in. Check your temperature every morning before you get out of bed if you are concerned.
