A 1896 British penny in immaculate condition could be valued at up to £60 (about $95). If the penny has been circulated it's value will be lower, possibly in the region of $5 to $25.

A penney is worth a penny or less. If it is one with Lincoln's head turned the other way then it is valuable. They stopped making them and are looking for people who have them. A rusty old penny you found is probably not worth much. You can always take it in and have it appraised.

I think if you visit any dealer of coins then he may offer you price between 7 to 10 US dollars. And also it depends upon the condition of the penny.
