Kurt Lewins believe that in order to understand, accept and embrace change it must undergo three stages. Commonly referred to as Unfreeze, Change, Freeze (or Refreeze).

Kurt Lewins set up a theory of change in 1951 based on three steps. The first step is to "unfreeze" the present situation. The second step is to move forward, or take action to make the change. The third is to "refreeze" the change in its new form.
