Paint is generally composed of a resin or binder, pigments to make it opaque, and a solvent to thin the mix. A common resin that has been used in paint for centuries is linseed oil. Mix it with enough dry powder pigment to make a paste and then add turpentine or mineral spirits to thin it down if necessary.
