Though acronyms may differ depending on context, ICT commonly stands for information and communications technology. Simply, ICT encompasses all devices that can be used for communication (for example: radio, television, cell phones, computer and network hardware and software, etc.). It is any technology that makes accessing information or communicating with others easier.

ICT stands for Information Communication Technology. In schools it refers to the study of computers and computer systems. For example, when I was in school, during ICT lessons I was taught the use of the Microsoft programs Word, Excel and Powerpoint. It may also refer to the study of the hardware of computers.
