It's a vaccination that all cats need when to prevent a very fatal and very contagious medical condition. Distemper is known to affect cats all around the world and can cause fever, weight loss and vomiting/diarrhea. Feline distemper shots is a preventative vaccine against the Parvovirus. This viral infection is deadly and difficult to treat. Because the Parvovirus is 'everywhere' that is not disinfected frequently, it is likely for a cat to be infected. Luckily the distemper shot is very effective and should be given yearly.

The shot for feline distemper, or panleukopenia, is included in the core vaccine. This will be in both the 3-way shot and the 4-way shot.
