At about 7 weeks, begin seperating the puppies from their mother for short ammounts of time. Druing this time away from mom, all the puppies should be together. Gradually increase the time spent apart over two to three weeks until they are spending virtually no time with the mother.

From most petstores, Vets and supermarkets you can purchase products specifically designed for weaning e.g Pal-Puppy Porridge which is liquid like substance which can be warmed which is gentle on the belly. As they become hungrier you then can give half porridge and half of any Soft puppy food until porridge is replaced with soft food.
