Seal your frozen hamburger (or most anything frozen), submerge in pan of COLD water ,in sink, with tiniest stream of cold water running on it. If it wants to float, put something heavy on it to keep it submerged. Will thaw in 30/40 minutes.

The best way to thaw hamburger meat is to remove it from the freezer 24 hours in advance and place in the refrigerator during that time. If you do not have 24 hours, you can leave out at room temperature till thawed or even do a fast thaw in the microwave.

The safest way to thaw hamburger meat is to put the meat in the fridge for 1-2 days. It is not recommended to leave meat out in room temperature to thaw meat. You may risk growing bacteria. The other safe way is to use your meat right after you buy it.

The safest way is to leave in it's original sealed package in the refrigerator for several days until it is thawed. A faster method is to place the package face down in a thick-bottom skillet. This method thaws it quickly. About 30 minutes for a 1 pound package.

The best and safest way to thaw hamburger meat is to place it in the fridge overnight. It should be place on a tray to catch any leaks or drippings that could contaminate other foods. If you don't have the time to leave it overnight then it can also be thawed in the microwave on the defrost setting.
