Fish like anything require care & special attention if they are going to live healthy & productive lives. Ciclid fish require regular feedings, a clean enviroment & also more fish to the mix will always be good because fish like company too.

That is a very generalized question, but most cichlid fish require a large aquarium with a strong filtration system. Most cichlid fish are messy eaters, so water changed will need to be done weekly. Feed cichlid pellets and keep with similar tempered tank mates.

Cichlids are very beautiful and interesting fish. They need to be housed with similar semi aggressive fish, and be provided rocks and caves. Also they need a slightly larger tank roughly 50 gallons. A mixed diet of flake and frozen is recommended.

It depends on the type of cichlid and where it is from. African cichlids are very aggressive and need hard, alkaline water. South American cichlids are also pretty aggressive and need medium to soft water and neutral to acidic pH. Most cichlids need large tanks and should be kept alone or in very small groups, though exceptions to this exist.
