Neem is a natural shampoo for cats. Rosemary, wormwood, and peppermint can be made into a spry to help eliminate fleas. Commercial treatments are more toxic to cats, so non chemical alternatives are recommended. Keep cat beds clean and use preventive measures.

There are many options. Capstar is a pill that a kitten can take to kill any fleas or ticks, and Frontline is a topical medicine that works for 30 days.

Natural is always best. Just use a very little(1/4 teaspoon)brewers yeast sprinkled on your kitties food makes their blood unappealing to fleas. Try a bath of 1/2 water and 1/2 vinegar, just dip the kitten for about 3 minutes, keep away from eyes and wipe dry. Always follow up with an appropriate flea collar for your kitten.

Take note that flea control products that are safe for adult cats may not be safe for kittens. Weekly bathing with a gentle baby shampoo and use of a flea comb is very safe and removes adult fleas. Once kittens are over six weeks dilute baby shampoo with kitten flea shampoo and repeat until results are met.

Be careful as under eight weeks you should use NO flea killer; next, get a comb and be careful not to put on too much spray.
