The law allows that a creditor, after diligent efforts to collect a debt, can request that the court intervene. The court will review the matter and decide if s/he will allow the creditor to pursue other means of recovery, like the attachment of wages, bank accounts, and other assets.

They must prove the debt is valid before they can enforce collection methods such as wage garnishment or repossession. You have the right to demand proof of their right to collect and the pay off amount.

Basic collection is used when you are in arrears on a particular loan. For example if you haven't paid the car bill basic collection means the company can take your car... nothing more.

The creditor can do anything legal to try and collect the judgement as long as it does not border on harassment.

You are unclear here- if there is a judgment against you, you must abide by it, or appeal it. The rule of thumb is, if you owe it, they have the right to collect it.
