You get a few extra bells and whistles that you can't get with any pre-paid phones. Like free internet browsing, more text messages, etc.

The advantage of having a contract phone is this you never have to worry about adding minutes to your phone like a non-contract phone. As long as you pay your monthly bill, your minutes will continue.
