Paranoid psychosis is a severe mental illness in which a person not only has unfounded suspicious thoughts, but may hear voices or experience visual hallucinations. Typically, logical thought is severely disrupted. The individual may even experience "command hallucinations" in which the voices they hear order them to do things.

Paranoid psychosis is psychotic behavior accompanied by grandiose delusional beliefs and the person experiencing it may have behavior changes. This includes difficulty with social interactions and activities of daily living.
