Yorkies tend to have seperation anxiety. I would recommend crate training in a good sized crate to get them used to being by themselves

Terriers are known for their energy and enthusiasm. WHen training these dogs, patience is a must as they tend to be very high strung. It is important to match that energy when you are training. A system of rewards, be it a dog treat or piece of cheese, will help ensure their compliance and demonstrate you are the 'pack leader'

Training yorkies is just like training any other dog it takes time and you have to reward them when they do great.

While yorkies are just about the cutest animals on the planet the best advice I can give is consistency. Treats have always worked very well for me when they obeyed my commands, makes them all the more obedient. With such pleasing personality's they are such a joy.

Yorkies, as with almost all small breed dogs, take much patience to train. They tend to have short attention spans and require repetitive actions in order to get the results that you want.
