Chlamdia is a very common sexually transmited infection caused by bacteria. Symptoms include an abnormal vaginal discharge or pain during urinating. However, most women who contract chlamydia do not have any symptoms, hence it's reputation as a 'silent' infection. If it's left untreated can result in infertility. The infection is easily treated with antibiotics.

It is a sexually transmitted and very contagious venereal disease. Your sister is lucky that she found out, since it is usually a silent disease. It is treated with antibiotics.
