What is a home remedy for a fever blister?

There are a couple of home remedies for fever blisters we use in our house. One is an extract of lemon balm, available at the health food store, to relieve symptoms and promote healing. The second is to use a steeped tea bag. Let it cool and apply. The blister shoulld disappear in a couple of days.

First of all do not cover your blister. It should get sufficient aeration to heal faster. You can clean it with antiseptic lotion and apply Betadine cream or powder to it. If it is unduly painful you can puncture with sterile needle which makes the fluid to come out and pain will be reduced and apply drez powder on it

A wet aspirin applied to the blister and held there is a good remedy. Ear wax is also supposed to be good. You just apply the wax a few times a day. It's supposed to have antiseptic properties. Some people swear that heat or cold pressed to the sore a few times a day helps.

There are several home remedies for fever blisters. Put ice on the fever blister. Another remedy is putting salt on the sore. You can also apply cornstarch paste, aloe gel, extract of mint, cooled tea bag, Witch hazel, St. John's Wort essential oil or spirit of camphor.
