A decorator crab, or "spider crab" is a small crab with long legs and can grow up to two inches in length. It has sharp spikes all over its body which it uses to attach sea sponge, sea weed and other items to its body, giving it its name.

A "decorator crab" disguises itself by attaching various anemones and coral polyps to its exoskeleton so that it blends in to its surroundings and can go undetected by predators. Its Latin name is Cyclocoeloma tuberculata. Several "true crabs" have this practice and are called "decorator crabs." Crayfish, hermit crabs and lobsters are not "true crabs."
