The ivy has a berry which birds eat in the winter but humans cannot. Lantana berry is bluish black in color when they turn green the berry is very toxic.

common garden plants have fruits which are poisonous to people,like yew tree, castor baen plant,mayyaple tree, pyracantha,cherrylaurel,chinaberry,jerusacherry, and wistletoe and not for birds.berries like ivyberry,lautanaberry,vine tree,poison ivy and poison oak are poisonous to humans and not for birds.

Many vines have berries that are toxic to humans but are not toxic to birds. You can walk in any forest in the Eastern United States and see such examples as Poison Ivy and Poison Oak.
