It's silver and shows the goddess Liberty, on the front. She's wearing a cap with wings which represents liberty and freedom. The back has a bundle of sticks with an olive branch wrapped around it, which symbolizes a desire for peace and readiness for war.

The Winged Liberty dime, designed by Adolph A. Weinman,a noted sculptor, depicts Liberty wearing a winged Phrygian cap in profile. This coin is commonly referred to as the Mercury dime but does not actually depict the Roman god Mercury.

Winged liberty dimes are pretty easy to spot. The front has lady liberty in profile wearing a helmet with wings coming out of it. These are also called Mercury dimes due to the fact most people thought it looked more like the god Mercury rather than lady liberty when they first came out.
