Calamine lotion is a pink liquid, chalky in consistency. It can soothe sore itchy skin, cooling it down. It can ease the discomfort of mild sunburn. Probably its best known use is for relieving the itchy spots present in the disease chicken pox.

Calamine lotion is used for skin irratations such as bug bites, Poison Ivy, or Poison Oak. It's asically for things that itch, or are irratating to the skin. When I had the Chicken Pox, it was recommended I use it. Things that need to be dried out and are itchy can usually be treated with Calamine Lotion.
