Cat distemper also called Feline Parvovirus affects cats that are not vaccinated. It affects the digestive system, nervous system and bone marrow. There is no cure for this virus and treatment mostly involves supportive care. Medicines are given to stop vomiting and diarrhea and antibiotics are given to stop bacterial growth. Fluids are given to counteract the dehydration.

This is a physical health condition that to be cured can not stand up to simple home treatment. proper care needs to be directed by a vet.

The key to your cat surviving means an early detection. Cats can be vaccinated against this often fatal disease but once it's contacted, the mortality rate is still fairly high.

They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and this is especially true with cat distemper. Veterinarians can vaccinate cats against this dangerous virus, to which most cats will be exposed at some point in their lives. Infected cats can survive with aggressive treatment: antibiotics to support a compromised immune system, and fluids to prevent dehydration.

There isn't much you can do about cat distemper once a cat comes down with it other than provide supportive care. This means giving fluids, antibiotics to prevent a secondary infection, keeping it warm, etc. The best thing to do is prevent it by administering a distemper vaccination to your cat.
