What kind of dark patches? Like you are tanned, or have a mole? that could be from pigment in your skin pooling in one place. Make sure it isn't a bruise

without knowing where these patches are i'm going to believe they are called liverspots. these come with age and usually don't mean anything other than your getting older. If they are very dark to black you should have them looked by a doctor.

Dark patches on the skin means either alergy of chemicals used in the certain cosmetics, hereditary reasons, exposure of skin to altra violate rays or due to byte of insects.

The dark patches of skin means excess of anti biotics. Usually if you take anti biotics it will deposit as dark patches in skin and also the kidney has to remove from your body, then it will vanish.
