Possibly ovulation that occured two week apart instead of four weeks apart. A change in birth control methods can cause variations in your cycle. Some can cause longer periods that start early or go later.

That means you have a very short cycle. Which pretty much comes down to you are ovulating twice a month (every 2 weeks and there are 4 weeks in a month). This can be normal for some women. If you go on birth control it should regulate your periods better.

Some women have spotting during ovulation, which occurs two weeks after your period. If you have heavy red flow two weeks apart for 3 cycles you should visit a doctor.

There are many different things that can result in you having multiple periods in one month. Are you sure they were both full flow, and not spotting for one. You should consult with your doctor if this continues or if you have further symptoms.
