This commonly occurs when viewing a signal from an outside device (cable box, VCR, DVD player, etc. ) due to misconnecting the audio and video cables to mismatched connectors on your TV. Make sure the cables to TV are plugged into connectors that are all labeled the same (Video 1).

There are several problems that can cause no picture. There may be a problem with the picture tube. It can also be that the A/V cables in the back of the tv are not attached correctly. It may also be that the tv may need to be re-configured or a problem with the settings.

Make sure you do not have anything (video game, DVD player, etc. ) plugged into the "video in" jack on your TV. If you do, that will prevent the picture from your normal channels from being displayed.

This is due to the fact that your picture tube in your television has burnt out, so there is no picture, however the speakers still work.
