There are many different things that could be causing it but the most common would be stress. It could be physical stress to the eyes but it can also be regular stress that you experience throughout the day. It could also be caused by too much caffeine in your system or a nutritional imbalance.

Blepharospasms (eyelid spasms) stem mainly from eye stressors such as sleeplessness, irritation, overuse (e. g. reading) or anxiety. If rest doesn't resolve it, an opthamologist would need to determine why.

Drinking caffeinated drinks such as coffee, soda-pop, or tea could cause cause eyelid twitching. Large amounts of caffeine could cause muscle spasms that might make your eyelid twitch. Try limiting your caffeine intake over the next few days.

I think everyone has that happen to them. I honestly don't think there is anything you can do about it though. Yes it is annoying. There is nothing you can do about it.
