Red yeast in dogs eyes is caused by a form of bacteria which grows when the dog tears too much. It may be smelly. You need to have the dog treated for too much tearing and then the yeast infection.

Red yeast is a bacterial infection that occurs in the fur surrounding the eye, not an infection in the eye. The most common cause is excessive tearing of the eyes.

Yeast infections result from an imbalance of natural yeast that is already on a dog's skin. If your dog has been on antibiotics recently or there have been any major changes that could explain the yeast.
