Any discharge that is colored and not clear may indicate that the dog has an infection. This may require antibiotics from your local vet to help the pet begin to get better.

This could be an infection of some kind, or an allergy. Your dog could have a foreign body in the eyes or nose, or a viral infection. This color of discharge is indicative of a serious problem, and you dog needs to go see a veterinarian right away. Isolate your dog away from other dogs in case it is communicable.

If it is a small amount it can just be the normal tears we all get that dry near our eyes. If its excessive its likely an infection.

Your dog is sick. Take him to the veterinarian for some antibiotics and a check up in case it is something more serious than a cold.

If a dog's mucus is yellow or green (rather than clear), your dog is indeed sick. You should take him or her to your vet to see if your dog has a virus or a bacteria, since these are treated differently.

A yellow/green discharge is a sign of either infection or illness. Your pet should be taken to a vet to diagnose what is going on with your pet.

Bingo! Your dog is sick. It may be only an infection, but it's also an indication of illness. Only your vet can decide what needs to be done.

I've seen a lot of dogs with discharge coming from the eyes. It could mean any number of things like they have sediment in their eyes or something else. It's best to have it checked out.
