Prune juice with equal parts water is a safe solution for an infant of any age. If the taste is a problem then there are fruit flavors already mixed in the infant juice or they can be added with other infant juices. Use the infant juice for the best purity.

If your baby is constipated, try giving him/her some juice diluted with water, normally this will help for him/her to become regular again.

The best thing to do is feed them baby food prunes or applesauce. If that does not work, its best to contact the doctor.

I would recommend a lot of bran and fibre, as this should make them go (if you are really concerned, there are pills which can also help).
