The first thing you must do is wash your hair. I recommend using a clarfying shampoo (cheap ones like Suave and VO5 work well) Another healthy alternative would be to use baking soda or an apple cider vinegar rinse. Be sure to use one to two tablespoons per cup of water for the natural options.

You can use a mix of 1 cup water and 3 tablespoons of white vinegar. Massage the mix into your scalp well and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then wash and condition like you usually do.

Well first determaine where scalp buildup? Is it product usage? First I would try T gel. Its a great shampoo to get rid of dandruff and buildup. Its a medicated shampoo found at any department store. Now if its product buildup, try a clarifying shampoo such as Pantene or Suave. They strip the hair of buildup.

A clarifying shampoo should be used on the hair on a weekly basis in order to cut through product buildup on the hair and scalp. Do not overuse, however, as a clarifying shampoo can also strip away the hair's natural oils, causing damage to the hair. If this does not work, try a dandruff shampoo.

Massage Tea Tree Oil into scalp before washing hair. This will remove the buildup and leave your scalp very clean.

several products that help scalp buildup are selsium blue with menthol, dr. broners magic pepermint soap, and using shampoos without sulfates in them. If you have scalp buildup and use one of these suggested shampoos you should only shampoo every other day but condition everyday. If none of these work you can try medicated shampoos.

I would suggest using vinegar and water or lemon juice and water. I have used this many times and it has always worked for me. Just be careful to keep this out of your eyes as it will sting.

You can do a few things for that. One thing you can do is try a little baking soda mixed with your shampoo. You might also want to try equal parts vinegar and water. You can also try mixing equal parts lemon juice and water together too. Just be careful with the last two and use shampoo as well.
