The best temporary relief for wisdom tooth discomfort can be achieved with anti-inflammatory medications, warm salt water rinses, and warm compresses as needed. The follow up to this course of action should include a trip to your dentist.

If you are in pain because they are just starting to come in, then taking some form of Ibruprofen is probably your cheapest, easiest bet. It will help with both the pain and the swelling, just be sure to take them with food. If they have been bothering you for awhile, they may need to be extracted.

Usually, if wisdom teeth are causing pain, the best option is to have them removed by an oral surgeon. They are possibly impacted, and they may never be able to fully erupt through the gums and can cause a lifetime of pain and possible infections.

Honestly, make an appointment with a dentist. If your wisdom teeth are hurting you, there might be an issue that needs to be addressed.

Make an appointment with your dentist for evaluation of the pain. Meanwhile, take medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen to help relieve the pain.
