I love my Homeowners Association too NOT. At any rate city laws apply to everyone including up to and including board members of your association. You could write a certified letter asking them to cease and desist. This is assuming that they are not contacting you because of dues owed or because of a covenant being broken.

If you mean that the association expects you to follow the rules and not others, then you can tell them to take it to court. Otherwise take them to court.

The question is whether what they are contacting you about is a legal HOA matter. If they are sending letters about unmaintained property, it is their legal right. If they are interfering in the internal matters of your home or following up on unsubstantiated complaints, you can get a lawyer.
