The symptoms of an abcessed tooth are tooth pain with sensitivity to hot and cold foods. You may also have a pustual pocket below the tooth in the gum area.

An abscess tooth will have pain on the touch, when eating, and drinking food. You may also notice a general throbbing that continues through out the day. In addition abscessed teeth will cause swelling of the face, jaw line and checks. You may notice a sour taste in your mouth caused by pus and drainage from the site.
