What are the strongest hurricane winds ever recorded?

The strongest winds recorded has to go to Camille in 1969. One wind gust was recorded as getting up to 190 MPH! I wouldn't want to be caught in something like that.

Hurricane Katrina is one of the strongest hurricanes and most devastating, it devastated New Orleans and flooded the city leaving thousands homeless when the levies were wrecked by the surge of water, as the town is below sea level.

Hurricane camille by far is the strongest winds sustained official at 190mph. But were prob higher due to the instrument broke. Katrina was weaker at her peak and much weaker at landfall. Remember camille made landfall at that strength while katrina made landfall at 128mph, cat 3 hurricane

Hurricane Camille hit Biloxi, Mississippi in 1969 and wind speeds were recorded at between 205 to 210 miles per hour before the force of the storm broke the measuring equipment.
