As with most medications Trazodone can have minor side effects such as nausea, light-headedness, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision among others. Severe side effects of Trazodone may include severe allergic reactions such as rash, hives, or difficulty breathing. These are just some of the common side effects and severe side effects reported. Some side effects may not be reported.

The main side effect of Trazodone is sedation, dizziness, constipation, and blurred vision. In addition, some patients have reported some symptoms of priapism (erectile dysfunction) when taking Trazodone. Patients need to report to physicians immediately if they have mood swing or suicidal thoughts.

Some of the side effects are blurred vision, tremors, dizziness, and dry mouth. There are more serious side effects which should be reported to your physician. These include vomiting, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, and fainting. Dizziness, shortness of breath, and hives are serious side effects.
