The names of the Planets in order from the Sun are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Earlier, Pluto was also considered a planet. This mnemonic helps us to remember their order - My Very Elegant Mother Just Served Us Noodles.

The order from our sun outwards is: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. Pluto use to be the last planet but it is no longer recognized as a planet. It is referred to as a dwarf planet. This is due to the discovery of other dwarf planets in our solar system.
