There are elongated pastas like spaghetti and linguini, served with heavy sauces like marinara; many small shapes like penne and rotini; pastas like ravioli that may be stuffed with meats, vegetables or cheeses; and large flat baked pastas like lasagna. Pasta product comes in many shapes, some preferred by more consumers than others. The variations in their design are intended to hold more sauce for palatability. Besides spaghetti strands, pasta can also be in shape of elbow, shell, ziti, rigatoni, and farfalle (bow tie).

There are many kinds of pasta. whole grain pasta is the best for you heart. Some people dislike the taste of whole grain pasta. Try rotini or spiral pasta.
