Your chances are getting pregnant while using a copper IUD are extremely low, less than 1% per year. This is a much lower failure rate than using condoms, and it is similar to the failure rate of the contraceptive pill when used perfectly. Most women who use the Pill miss days, though, so the IUD is better.

Nothing is 100% full proof other than getting your tubes tied (which can actually get an ectopic pregnancy which is really bad. ) Though, an IUD has essentially the same effect as tube tying, but easily removed if you decide to have kids.

Copper IUDs when used correctly work well. The most certain way is to not have sexual intercourse; you can also use a condom as well as plot your cycles.

The chances are less but people do get pregnant so to avoid getting pregnant avoid having sex after 7 days of period for 4 days always squat and wash.
