The 60's was a pivotal time for the United States with many significant events taking place in that short ten years. In 1961, President John F. Kennedy gave the famous "Decision to go to the Moon" speech. He was assassinated in 1963 and his dream of reaching the moon before the Soviets was achieved in 1969.
