Do a "cat/cow" stretch. On all fours, gently arch up the center of your back, like a cat does. Do that stretch so it goes from the top of your head to your rear end (both pointing down). Then pull down the center of your back, raising up your head and rear. Switch back and forth. Should feel great.

Look up yoga poses! Yoga is absolutely amazing for people with arthritis. It can really loosen your joints and make you feel great. As with any exercise, talk to your doctor first!

Try to incorporate low impact exercises for arthritis. Examples would include yoga, Pilates, or tai chi. Also incorporating daily massages into your exercise regimen will alleviate any ongoing pain.

Yoga is a wonderful exercise. If you get into a good class with a qualified instructor they can modify any pose to support your health issues. Try Pilates too, excellent.

gentle exercise is best if you have arthritis. yoga or pilates is an excellant way to strengthen your muscles and your bones as well as creating a better posture which can help straighten you spine and neck. i would do a more gentle form of yoga or pilates and not the more strenuous ones
