Could a lump in my neck cause muscle pain along my back?

I have a small lump in the back of my neck and have had a good bit of pain in my neck and back over the last few days, what could cause this and are they related?

Definitely. All muscles and bones are related, so a knot in one place will put strain on the rest. It is also possible if you have a lump that you have multiple knots and the neck one is just the most noticeable because it hurts most.

Yes it could. There are many nerves that go up and down the neck and back that that lump could affect you back. Go to a doctor. Play it safe.

If the lump is where your spinal cord is it might be something is being misplace (get that check) if it is near your neck it is probably a pull or stress muscle. relax and get a massage. dont stress out too much

The short answer is yes. You would be amazed by what's connected in the human body. If it gets worse, see a doctor.
