A newsagent is someone who operates a newsstand, or newsagent's shop depending on what part of the world you're from. These are small shops which specialize in selling time-sensitive periodicals such as newspapers and magazines. Newsagents also tend to sell small food and drink items such as cans of soda and packages of gum or candy.

They are people or shops which sell a variety of newspapers and magazines, and often snacks and things as well.
