You are always able to negotiate a reduced rate when your income decreases. If your income has decreased, child support amount owed can be re-assessed and reduced. You owe the full current amount until it's changed though, so be careful because they WILL take it eventually.

That has got to be a tough situation. However if you have a job and you know what your monthly child support payments are then figure out what percentage of your paycheck you will need to save in order to achieve the required amount. Put this money in a safe spot and save it. Then you will be on schedule.

Your kids have to come first, so it sounds like you will need to do what a lot of people do; go to school full time and work full time. That is a challenging thing to do but it will prepare you to go to college and get a better job. Lots of people work and go to school successfully.

You still owe child support, whether or not you are in school. If you fall behind in child support, you may be unable to get your diploma or drivers' license.

Never stop paying on your child support. They can go after you and put you in jail, because you stopped paying.

If the father does not have the child remember to stop the child support before they start taking out of your check
