If its not in the court order then he doesn't have to pay after the child turns 18. He does though have to pay July and August. If he's a good guy, like my boyfriend, he'll pay until the child turns 21 or graduates from college. My boyfriend's children have a one of a kind dad.

While the child, now young adult, is still dependent. This would include full time college, as the child would not normally be expected to work.

For the most part most child support will stop once the child reaches the age of adulthood unless there is an agreement in place that states that it is to continue throughout college.

Father must support the child till he/she gets a nice and respectable job and till he/she becomes a major. Father must continue supporting the child till child is able to stand on own feet in the society and starts earning money to make decent living if father is sole source of support for child.
