Should I have earache after having my wisdom teeth removed?

It's been a week since I had them done, and for the last 3 days or so I have had a painful ear ache.

This is a hard question to answer as to determine what you mean by and ear ache and also the time that has elapsed since the extractions. If the extractions were done less than two weeks ago, you may have a condition called 'dry socket'only your dentist can cure. It does cause pain that radiates up into the ear.

I was in pain for about a week after mine were pulled, but if the pain doesn't go away I would contact your oral surgeon.

Its not abnormal for that to happen. If it gets worse or does not get better it might be an infection that you want to get checked.

Many people report ear aches after a wisdom tooth extraction; more women than men. This symptom is caused by a disruption of the blood clot when the tooth is pulled.

if you ever have a toothache sometimes your ear hurts bc it is all connected to the sinuses. It could be just your sinuses, but I would definitely have it checked out bc it might be a simple ear infection. Wait a few days, if its still there go.
