If the spots seem to be hurting your dog then yes. If you touch around the brown spots and the dog grimaces then there is cause for concern.

THis will depend on the consistenty of these spots. If your dog is older, they may be the canine equivalent of liver spots or 'age spots'. If they are tender when touched, as judged by your dog's reaction, or if they appear swollen, red, or have any sort of fluid drainage, see your vet.

Many dogs have discolorations similar to birthmarks on their stomach. My dog is a lab border collie mix and she has brown spots on her stomach also. I think they are completely normal, unless your dog is itching or mouthing them, in which case you should get it checked by a vet.

just like humans dogs can get spots on the bare parts of their skin. it can be from the sun. if it is just discoloration i wouldn't be worried. if they are sores than yes you should be worried and take you dog to the vet.
