The turtle couldn't find a spot to lay her eggs so she laid the eggs in the water instead. What you do is separate the eggs from the male turtle because he will eat them. Place the eggs into dampened vermiculite container with small holes
Turtle shells are porous and the water will seep in. It is highly likely the unborn turtles have drown. I would advise throwing the eggs away, they are not likely viable anymore.
