My throat feels like it's closed. I have to drink water and swallow constantly. What does this mean?

It may be viral, or may be caused by anxiety, which can make the chest/throat area feel constricted. Best to get checked out by a doctor to be sure.

If the throat feels like it is closed and it is difficult to eat food or drink liquid this could be due to a hernia within the throat or the throat needs to be stretched.
